Under the mission of transitioning dental practices from Retiring Dentists to Associate Dentists, Fine Touch Dental® recruits the best possible Associate Dentists to participate.
Each Associate Dentist joins a dental practice on the understanding that the dental patients will be transitioned to them by the Retiring Dentists over the first year or two.
When the transition of patients is substantially complete, and if the Dental Associate is pleased with the working environment and if Fine Touch Dental® and its dental colleague(s) are pleased with the Associate, the dental practice is offered, in whole or in part, for sale to the Dental Associate subject to an ongoing business management arrangement.
This way, the Associate Dentist has the opportunity to “test drive” a managed dental practice before deciding whether to acquire it and make it the central piece of their professional career. If they do, they are then free to pursue their dental career without the headaches of ongoing business management. Fine Touch Dental® “lifts the administrative burden” from the dentists’ shoulders and this enables dentists to focus on what they want to do... namely dentistry.
There are many advantages, of course, to being a dental practice owner in a management arrangement that includes a number of dental practices. There are the obvious advantages such as bulk buying discounts, group benefits, group advertising discounts, human resources assistance, bookkeeping, IT and other valuable services. There are also the less obvious advantages such as the ability of the group manager to assist dentists to be “covered” during vacations, sick leave and maternity leave, to participate in continuing educational opportunities, an annual convention with colleagues, an optional group pension plan, and so forth.
The list of advantages is actually quite long, yet each dentist gets to own all or part of their own dental practice and practice their profession as they see fit.
